Pinot Noir Villa di Bagnolo

RED TUSCAN IGT

Obtained from the vineyards of Villa di Bagnolo, near the stream of the same name at 150 metres above sea level, in which Pinot Noir is present in various clones, originating from Burgundy, selected over the years (113, 115, 114, 666, 777 and 943).

Soil: Moist and rich in minerals, serpentine, medium textured and rich in skeleton.

Year of planting: 1989 - 1994 - 1999

Harvest: Manual harvest with crates

Vinification : Destemming and soft pressing. Racking takes place after alcoholic fermentation in cement.

Aging: 1st and 2nd passage French oak barriques for 18 months and subsequent bottling.

TASTING NOTES:

Color: Lively and transparent ruby.

Perfumes: Olfactory rhythms marked by crème de cassis, pomegranate, strawberry tree, aromatic herbs and green tea, followed and integrated by barley and rhubarb incense, up to the conclusion of eucalyptus.

Taste: The tasting is an exaltation of freshness, completed by the well-measured power and the perfectly executed tannin. Refined along the entire tasting path, it reveals sure longevity. (Vitae)
